About the role
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced and tertiary qualified Procurement specialist to join Prowler Proof in this key role. The Procurement Manager is to develop, manage and improve procurement processes, ensure high-level forecasting, inventory accuracy, effective inventory management, cost control, and timely delivery from vendors. All to ensure the business obtains the right goods at the right time. This role is part of the Operations team.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, your key responsibilities will include:
Inventory Management –Management of stock levels through inventory analysis, stock-take, and forecasting. Maintain stock levels, movements, and data integrity. Liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding quality matters and faulty goods.
Local and Overseas Vendor Management – Manage vendor deliverables, quality, performance, and communication. Management of vendor forecasting, inbound shipping logistics, vendor contracts, agreements, and services.
Purchasing – PO processing, manage backorders, faulty goods credit and return processes. Vendor and product cost analysis, benchmarking, and reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on purchase requirements for equipment, materials, products, and services.
Improvement Strategies – Develop vendor supply chain improvements, and risk management strategies. Maintain and deliver system cost saving efficiencies. Build and maintain vendor partnerships and cultivate new vendor relationships for alternate supply lines. Warehousing and storage solutions. Provide procurement and inventory strategy in line with company goals.
About you – Qualifications & Experience
- Ideally possess a tertiary qualification in business, procurement, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role (manufacturing environment highly advantageous)
- Advanced skills MS Office 365 and familiarity with SharePoint
