SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST
Our Client
Is a leading direct to consumer e-commerce brand based in Los Angeles, California setting up a new base In Melbourne – Australia for their patented washable rug design that's disrupting the home décor industry.
Growth opportunity exists for a full-time Supply Chain Analyst to join our growing team-based North of Melbourne CBD. As the Supply Chain Analyst of a newly established manufacturing plant, you will play a vital role in setting up the Australian SUPPLY CHAIN and logistics function as our client scale our local manufacturing operations.
An ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (including 3PLs, freight forwarders, local suppliers) to achieve results for our team and our customers.
You will help lead and grow a team handling warehousing, inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
Experience:
- 3-5+ years of professional experience working in SUPPLY CHAIN, logistics, or operations
- Experience building trust-based relationships with vendors and running RFPs
- Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience in inventory management, procurement, 3rd party warehousing, and contract negotiation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
- Top-notch relationship management, particularly with raw material suppliers, 3PLs, logistics partners
- Experience conducting quantitative analysis (modelling) that can drive to insights and results using data
- Track record of managing and/or supporting large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and analysis, problem solving and delivering recommendations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Help build and expand our Australia SUPPLY CHAIN from existing North American processes
- Develop data-driven models, analyses, reports and dashboards, creating actionable insights to inform strategic decisions and process improvements
- Build project management plans and trackers to ensure successful and timely project completion
- Build relationships and strong ways of working with our existing logistics partners, and establish relationships with new providers
- Develop an inventory, warehousing, procurement and logistics strategy to ensure scalability to support our client’s growth plans
- Work with suppliers and cross-functional partners to ensure plant maintains healthy supply of raw materials needed for production
- Work cross functionally with other teams (Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, and Logistics) to support new product launches
- Help ensure that ensure that operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed and coordinated
- Expertise in home goods, consumer goods, and/or direct-to-consumer products
- Experience building supplier relationships and negotiating contracts
- Previous experience working at a high-growth company or start-up
- Experience utilizing and/or building dashboards (ex: Tableau/Looker/Sheets)
