This is a full-time, permanent role for someone looking for a new Supply Chain Management role with involvement in overseas procurement, liaison with suppliers and a range of interesting and varied duties.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Providing operational leadership for all aspects of the Supply Chain/ Imports function nationally for our client.
DETAILS OF THE POSITION
- Coordinating, processing and planning of overseas orders and shipments and working closely with our overseas manufacturing partners.
- Communicating and negotiating with suppliers and vendors with respect to logistics.
- Collaborating with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
- Ensuring the maintenance of accurate records with adherence to applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
- Safe guarding the Supply Chain and ensuring secure trade practise in compliance with regulations.
- Ensuring proper compliance and adherence to Chain of Responsibility and Dangerous Goods regulations with regards for personal and inventory safety.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to purchasing and inventory management processes and activities.
- Providing product support regarding cost, duty exemption and all importing requirements.
We are seeking a person with exceptional communication skills and strong organisational strengths while maintaining great inter-personal relationships, meeting deadlines and showing plenty of initiative. Previous experience in a similar role will be well regarded and industry experience or relevant qualifications would be looked upon favourably but are not essential.
