Job description

What’s the role? 

You will be accountable for:

  • Developing sourcing strategies and tactics based on a deep understanding of the current situation of the business, the business strategy and drivers, the local supplier market and global strategies. 
  • Ensuring stakeholders in the Supply Chain understand the intent of contracts, optimise the use of contracts.
  • Designing and improving with business partners the assigned Supply Chains, driving commerciality in the post award contract management with vendors and remove waste. 
  • Leading and developing category strategies, cost models, tenders, evaluations and negotiations in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Driving continuous improvement in Supply Chain end to end performance and internal process.
  • Proactively identify & understand procurement needs from internal stakeholders and propose competitive solutions for the end-to-end Supply Chain. Ensure integrated ways of working with business and suppliers.
  • Ensure Supply Chain Strategy supports Goal Zero Aspiration through implementation of

robust Contractor Safety Management practices and alignment to business personal and process safety focus areas.

  • Build and maintain strong network in the market, being fully aware of supplier developments and opportunities coming up in the market.

What we need from you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in law, procurement, business management or other related discipline, with significant experience in contract negotiation and management.
  • Experience in managing production and maintenance categories highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial mindset, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to adjust global strategies to the current situation of the local business and market conditions; and translate it into tangible and valuable outcomes for the business.
  • Ability to understand the business, the end-to-end process in the Supply Chain and articulate business language in a crisp and precise manner.
  • Experience in using SAP/ Ariba desirable.
  • Continuous improvement and simplification mindset.
  • Uncompromising on HSSE, ethics & compliance.
  • Ability to look ahead, think strategically while focusing on day-to-day delivery and manage multiple workstreams at the same time.
