Randstad's procurement & contracts specialist, Hayley Wilson, is seeking a Procurement and Contracts Specialist working within a local government.
Key responsibilities of all the roles will include:
- Plan and administer the local governments procurement, contracts and leases in line with the strategic and operational plans.
- Execute proactive procurement strategies to maximise value for money and secure long-term benefits for the local government.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies, procedures, systems, and frameworks for procurement related activities to deliver best practice Procurement and Contract management solutions that comply with relevant legislation.
- Review and negotiate contracts and legal agreements in consultation with relevant officers and other stakeholders.
- Positive management of relationships between local government and its suppliers
- Review and negotiate the government leases in consultation with relevant officers, community groups and other stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage the status of leases, including financial and operational compliance with lease terms.
- Provide supervision, training and direction to one direct report
Successful applicants will require:
- Extensive experience in Procurement and stakeholder engagement, contract management and lease management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in a Procurement, Contract Management or similar discipline are desirable.
- National police clearance and pre employment medical assessment.
