Bechtel Mining and Metals has an opportunity for an experienced professional to come on board as Supply Chain Lead based in Perth. This role will be in Perth client project office, with occasional travel to project / supplier sites.

About the Role:
As Supply Chain Lead, you will lead a team of Supply Chain personnel and perform formation and administration of contracts. You will be required to effectively liaise with various internal stakeholders, as well as maintain relationships with suppliers and contractor personnel.
 Your responsibilities will include:
-Provides functional guidance and/or supervision to all contracts personnel and ensures that project contracting of goods and services is consistent with all applicable directives, management instructions and procedures.
-Provides functional guidance on issues related to contracts and coordinates functional activities with other functional managers.
-Performs formation and administration of all types of commitments.
-Supports development and implements the contracting strategies, including the development and translation of the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule into a specific working contracting plan.
-Supports development of the contracts section of the Project Execution Plan and represents Contracts in operational and/or project reviews and audits.
-Reviews / produce bid evaluation summaries, bidder recommendation, and approves selection of bidders.
-Other responsibilities as required.
 
What You Bring:
-Broad experience in the formation, negotiation and award of all types of contracts including purchase orders, including cross-functional experience in two or more contract/procurement disciplines (formation, administration, prime, etc.).
-Skilled in working with and communicating effectively with supervisors of various project functional groups.
-Demonstrated commercial awareness with financial and tax issues, with experience in both field and home office assignments, and in two or more business units.
-Demonstrated experience in developing complex contract types, fee arrangements, terms and conditions.
-Skilled in conducting research and preparing reports relating to purchasing of equipment and materials on global projects. Experience in making technical presentations to senior client and internal management.
-Experience in supervising personnel, workload distribution and execution of the work, as well as administration of personnel actions, including salary planning, annual performance reviews, and career counselling.
