Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, one active underground mine, two active open pits, with new mines starting in 2024 as part of the companies 5-year plan and a vision to reach 150,000oz/pa by 2028.
This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a 3 month temporary contract role on an 8/6 roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO to Marvel Loch option available.
About the role:
Reporting to the Supply Supervisor, the Supply Officer is responsible for providing practical stores support to the purchasing and warehousing function while managing goods inwards and outwards for the Southern Cross operations.
About you:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years mining experience preferably in the Gold industry and previous experience in working at a mine site or similar industrial warehouse.
Duties include:
- Issuing and Expediting orders
- Seeking quotations (when need) and carrying out the Purchasing process
- Goods inwards management
- Organising freight pick-ups incl hot shots
- Carrying out stock takes and stock validations
- Goods receipting into ERP system
- General warehouse housekeeping
- Re-stocking of materials
- Assistance with inventory management, including cataloguing and material master management
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- General warehousing and supply tasks as needed
- Raising purchase requisitions (when needed)
Essential qualifications include:
- Forklift ticket
- Current WA Drivers License and LR license
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position
- White Card
- Previous experience using SAP ERP Software - desirable
