The Supply Planner is responsible developing and executing an inventory plan for our clients product portfolio based on demand, actual orders, network lead times and available inventory. They will ensure data analysis, systems and measures are in place for quality outcomes and to meet customer requirements. The Supply Planner will participate in S&OP meetings and achieve supply objectives, work closely with Sales and Marketing, Warehouse and Operations teams to develop a robust supply process that meets business objectives and ensure key planning KPIs are met.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Work closely with business stakeholders including sales, marketing, demand planning, warehouse & QA to understand business and commercial requirements around BAU planning as well as promotional planning, key account submission cycles, major promotions and campaigns, NPD and end of life cycles with all business channels;
- Participate in cyclical meetings and forums and provide value added insights into order status, changes, constraints & feasibility of plans.
- Tracking current inventory
- Lead supply planning process by using ERP and related systems, historical data, supplemented by input from stakeholders
- Review, develop and maintain PO accuracy to include seasonal, event, product phase in/phase out, and promotion plans
- Participate and contribute to monthly sales & purchasing planning process
- Interact with sales, marketing and finance to understand key supply planning drivers, and how these have impacted sales, e.g. out of stocks, seasonality, key events, promotions, cannibalisation etc.
- Participate in company-wide projects
- Be sensitive to all COGS movements, communicate variances
- Identify market trends and interpret this information to provide updates to costings, quotations and pricing
- Conduct Supply risk analysis reporting and root cause analysis to rectify problems and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Monitor stock level in line with company inventory strategy across business channels, ensuring accuracy
- Provide both cyclical, exception and ad hoc data / reporting requests from key stakeholders.
- 5 years planning and supply chain experience in FMCG import & distribution industry
- Tertiary Qualifications in Supply Chain Management, or related discipline
- Strong numerical, analytical, organisational, decision-making skills and highly detail oriented.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills: work within a team to achieve common goals and be able to work with other teams & business functions
- Strong time management skills and able to handle multi-tasks in tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, intermedia/advanced excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI
- Experience in IT project/Software implementation
- Purchasing/logistics/Inventory management knowledge
