The Role...
The demand & supply manager is entrusted to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external, such as: finance, sales & marketing, product management, suppliers and vendors. Charged with making decisions that impact the demand plan and communicating those decisions to collaborators, as well as identify and resolve forecast variances. The demand planning manager role expands to include participating in sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes, as well as contributing to special projects and other and business strategy initiatives.
Your day to day will consist of...
- Ensuring that portfolio changes are planned with multifunctional team. This includes new product introduction (NPI) and discontinuation plans. Ensure that NPI and discontinuation plans have been accurately communicated and are included as an input to the demand planning process.
- Ensure the demand review process happens on time, helping the multifunctional team to align with the requirements and actively participate and contribute as per their defined roles. Consolidate inputs from markets if needed and analyse demand changes and compare vs financial target.
- Assist in the preparation of the S&OP meeting, aligning with the financial plans, understanding the financial implications of different scenarios. Conduct and facilitate 'what-if' analysis to build alternate scenarios for balancing demand, supply and financial plans.
- You bring a depth of supply chain experience, demonstrating expert ability in the use of SAP CMS and SAP APO
- Highly competent in your articulation and communication skills with breadth of experience communicating with partners, both written and verbally.
- You bring an analytical approach to your role, you enjoy digesting and dissecting data to form your strategy.
