Amaze Abilities is on the hunt for their next NDIS superstar Support Coordinator. In this role, you will assess clients' individual needs and craft a care plan that connects them with NDIS-funded supports and mainstream services to surmount barriers, build capacity, and achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing robust relationships with clients, their families, and service providers.
- Adopting a comprehensive approach to assist clients in overcoming obstacles to reach their goals.
- Enhancing clients' understanding of their funded supports, how to utilize their NDIS plan, and manage/track budget spending.
- Assisting clients in negotiating service agreements.
- Empowering clients to comprehend their NDIS-funded supports and the mainstream providers in their vicinity.
- Guiding and supporting clients through both scheduled and unscheduled NDIS plan review processes.
About the candidate:
- At least one year of experience as a Support Coordinator or in a comparable position.
- A minimum of a Diploma in Community Services or equivalent experience.
- A valid driver’s license, First Aid Certificate, Police Check, Blue Card, and NDIS Worker Screening Check are required.
- Proficiency in handling complex situations and resolving issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks.
- A keen eye for detail and a well-organized approach.
- Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with the ability to collaborate in a team setting.
This part-time position offers the potential to transition to full-time employment later. The hourly wage will be commensurate with experience.
