Job Summary:
The Role
Our Support Engineers provide fundamental/advanced technical assistance and support to end-users, clients, and colleagues. You will be responsible for resolving IT issues from simple fixes to those requiring in-depth technical expertise, and escalating more complex problems to higher-level support teams when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, or in person.
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, and mobile devices for users.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Assist with system and software upgrades, patches, and updates.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives, such as system migrations or technology implementations.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Knowledge and a good understanding of Windows Servers as well as Windows/Mac Desktop operating systems.
- Highly developed knowledge of the Office 365 environment and related systems including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online etc.
- Experience managing Active Directory and Microsoft Azure environments, Office 365 administration skills, and qualifications.
- An understanding and hands-on experience with Virtualization technology incl. VMWARE or Hyper-V etc.
- Working knowledge of security protocols like encryption and protecting the privacy of information etc.
- Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and managing network switches and routers including LAN Switching, Wi-Fi, Routing, and Firewall (demonstrated capability with Cisco equipment will be advantageous)
- Working knowledge of ITIL change management and flow implementation basics.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT certifications such as Microsoft Certified Pro, Office 365 Administrator Certification and Network will be highly regarded.
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- NV1 Clearance desired
