UFR is a growing business, and with our fleet expanding, we need to enhance our capability to support our robotic products.
We are looking for a Robotics Engineer (Support) to join us and become an integral part of our Operations team. We need you to become an expert in our robotic systems, so that when our customers need assistance, we can provide the answers they need.
The role involves a combination of interfacing with customers (via phone or helpdesk), investigating and problem solving technical issues, contributing to product improvements via software development, and improving our support systems and processes.
The role is based at our Eagle Farm office, with some infrequent travel to customer sites across Australia or North/South America.

Your Key Result Areas Will Be:
- Provide effective support by responding to and resolving customer support cases and service requests.
- Ensure customer success by undertaking operational reviews using data analytics approaches and suggesting areas for improvement.
- Contributing to product improvements via software development.
- Contribute to improving the systems and processes used to deliver product support.

What you’ll need:
- Degree in Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Information Technology or similar.
- The ability to work on site in Eagle Farm, with the potential for occasional site travel within Australia or North/South America.
- Ideally 2 - 5 years of experience in a robotics, mechatronics or software development role. However, recent university graduates will also be considered.
- Demonstrated relevant technical skills, including:
- Intermediate Python and/or C++
- Intermediate Linux (Ubuntu) skills
- Experience with Docker containers and Ansible
- Experience with DevOps practices
Highly regarded:
- Experience in the mining industry.
- Knowledge of IT networking and security practices.
- Experience with data analytics and/or data infrastructure.
- Hands-on capability for basic electrical assembly (soldering, Deutsch plug system, harness assembly).
- Experience with diagnostics/fault finding of mechatronic systems.
