Co.As.It. Community Services is a well-established charitable organisation within the aged care and community services industry. It offers a range of services that meet the diverse needs of its clients, especially those from CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) backgrounds in both the Brisbane and South Coast areas.
An enthusiastic and committed Support Liaison Officer is required to support coordinators with the day to day operations of the NDIS, QCSS programs and private services. The person will embrace Co.As.It.’s mission to improve the lives and opportunities of those in the local and extended community.
The position is varied, dynamic and demanding, and will suit a person with experience and initiative. To thrive in this role, you will be expected to display a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion; you will need to love variety, work under the direction of the Coordinators, communicate well with others and be able to manage a day to day office environment. You will be able to learn new systems quickly and be a dedicated and proactive support to the Coordinators. Key responsibilities:
- Provide support to care coordinators
- Carry out duties and instructions from coordinators providing services under NDIS, QCSS and private services
- Communicate efficiently with the team
- Liaise with clients, family members/representatives and/or agencies, as required and instructed by the Coordinators
- Administrative tasks relevant to client intake and files
- Rostering client services as required
- Work collaboratively with Coordinators to fulfil clients' needs and program development
- Supporting and promoting Co.As.It.’s value
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Qualifications in Disability and Mental Health or extensive experience in the field
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Human Services Quality Framework and NDIS
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to problem solve, deal with a number of responsibilities and to produce a high volume of work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to the objectives of the work area and the organisation and possess considerable drive and effort in achieving work targets
- People person with a ‘can do’ attitude who is passionate, energetic and shows initiative
- Strong communication and administrative skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities
- Highly organised and the ability to manage workload and workflow against a high volume of tasks and priorities without hesitation in a professional and confident manner meeting tight deadlines
- Team player with the ability to work with others
- Understanding the importance of accountability
- Versatility and flexibility – ability and willingness to work within and adjust to constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to communicate in another language would be highly regarded
- Hold a current drivers licence and have a reliable, registered motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Current Blue and Yellow Cards or National Disability Workers Screening Check (or be able to obtain them)
- Current National Police Certificate issued by the Australian Federal Police Canberra
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
