Job description

Clicks IT Recruitment has partnered a reputed and a well-known Managed Service Provider that are looking to hire a Level 1 ICT Helpdesk Support officer and be part of a tight knit team of 9 members. Whilst you report directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and customers.
  • Answering incoming phone calls, support tickets, and emails, directing correspondence to the appropriate staff member.
  • Perform all customer technical support that is requested professionally to deliver the best possible outcomes to the client.
  • Action any support tickets that are assigned or escalated to you.
  • Track and document all time spent on support jobs for customers.
  • Administration duties including but not limited to customer product provisioning of hardware and software.
  • Performing onsite and offsite installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all Addictive hardware, software, and associated products.
  • Performing monthly maintenance during business hours and out of hours as required for all IT systems and services provided to our clients.
  • Perform onsite client support and build ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Other general administrative duties as and when needed
  • Adhere to any internal policies and agreements provided by the organisation.
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
  • Be part of an ongoing after-hours support roster.

Requires Skills & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification/Diploma (or nearing completion) in information technology or equivalent discipline or demonstrated relevant experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Windows network operating systems, mini-computer and client/server environment operations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, understanding local area network configuration, administration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience and competence with the Microsoft 365 suite, namely Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
