- A part-time laboratory aide is required to work in our busy Cytology department, at Macquarie Park.
- The position primarily involves maintenance of the cytology Slide Filing system, including routine filing and retrieval of slides. In addition, the successful applicant may be required to undertake some general laboratory clerical duties.
- Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

To be considered for this position, the applicant must have a Science degree, and 1–2 years’ years’ experience in haematology/blood bank would be preferred, but not essential. General computer skills would also be an advantage
- Essential skills include patience, attention to detail, good organisational ability, accuracy, good communication skills and the ability to work efficiently both unsupervised and as part of a team.
- Previous experience with filing systems is desirable. Some lifting of slide boxes, (up to a maximum weight of 5kg) may be required
