The Bridge program in Ulverstone is seeking a part time Support Worker to provide general case management support to clients of the residential Bridge Program. Role responsibilities are as follows:
- Provide care, supervision and support to clients relevant to their individual needs, abilities and circumstances, including drug screening, bag searches, transportation and self-administration of medications.
- Maintain knowledge of and participate in relevant risk prevention
- Cooperate in achieving a safe and healthy workplace
- Comply with statutory requirements of the Salvation Army policies and procedures.
Capabilities: Respects client confidential Uses appropriate risk models to assess levels of risk, harm and well-being, including immediate risk; communicates, records and reports assessment results. Works effectively with people who exhibit multiple/compounded service needs and/or are chronically disadvantaged.
Respects client confidentiality and establishes and maintains appropriate boundaries Fosters productive working relationships and team well-being Encourages and cooperates with others to achieve common goals Models and promotes teamwork, encouraging collaboration Aware of own attitudes and biases, and how they impact on interactions. Responds effectively to challenging behaviour and identifies and implements appropriate strategies. Recognises and adapts to individual differences and perspectives in culture, style and viewpoint Positively utilises diversity as a strength in line with TSA values Actively and calmly works to solve problems and resolve conflicts Requirements of the role: Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date.
