About us
Buddies Community Access Network (C.A.N) is a local organisation, established in 2017, providing NDIS Core Support services in and around the Ballarat area. Buddies C.A.N operates differently to other disability providers. We understand that in life, not everyone is suited to each other. We take the time to carefully pair the right ‘Buddie’ to our participants, to achieve the best outcome with their NDIS goals.
Must have's:
- Must be available to work on a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, overnight shifts and sleepover shifts
- Must be willing to assist with personal care activities (toileting and showering)
- Willing to apply for NDIS screening check and obtain clearance
- Must have a valid drivers licence and an employee WWCC
- Smart Phone
Tasks & responsibilities ( no previous experience required )
- Assist participants with community access and recreational activities and ensuring they have opportunities to develop and maintain a valued lifestyle
- Assist participants with house hold activities such as meal preparation, cleaning vacuuming etc.
- Support participants with personal care activities such as toileting showering , hygiene assistance etc.
- Provide behavioural and mental support to our participants
- Ability to transport client to a range of different services and appointments
- Complete shift notes regularly as per Buddies C.A.N standards and actively communicate feedback
- Maintain upto date NDIS training modules and other administrative tasks as required
- Must be available to work on rotating roster including sleepover shifts and flexibility to pick up additional shifts as required
