Your new role
In this role, you will provide support to our clients in-home and in the community around Adelaide. You will have experience working with adults and children living with a disability. You will provide support and engage in a wide range of skill and confidence building activities.
- Morning and afternoon shifts
- Passive overnight shifts
- Community access shifts
- Capacity building, meal preparation, some personal care
What you will need to succeed
You will need experience as a Disability Support Worker, delivering in-home services to clients with complex needs. You will also have demonstrated experience supporting clients with mental health challenges and behaviours of concern.
You are a dedicated Support Worker with a positive approach and a genuine commitment to assist individuals reaching their goals and living their best life.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience as a Support Worker (or similar) in the health or community services sectors
- Flexibility regarding work hours on a 7-day roster
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or
- DCSI*/DHS Working with Children Check
- DCSI*/DHS Disability Employment Services Clearance
- DCSI*/DHS Child-related Employment Screening
- *issued before 1st February 2021
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Manual Handling Certificate
- Current Visa (if applicable)
- Unrestricted Drivers' Licence, roadworthy vehicle, car registration & insurance
Please note: All Support Workers are required to provide evidence of their COVID Vaccination status, as required by the Emergency Management (In-home and Community Aged Care and Disability Support Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Direction 2021.
