Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support individuals in accessing community activities, employment opportunities, and social events.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, well-being, quality of life and self-determination.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of support provided and any changes in the individual's needs or preferences.
Requirements
- Experience working in Disability Support or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities.
- Unrestricted driver’s license
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Smart Phone
Essentials
This is a risk assessed role, we require the following checks, clearances and training or the willingness to obtain:
- NDIS Check
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Check (no more than 12 weeks old)
- Through Their Eyes (Child Safe Environment) Certificate
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- All NDIS training modules
