Care Support Worker Cleaning - Part time

About the role
The Support Worker – Cleaning will support the delivery of a safe and clean living environment for residents and work environment for staff in alignment with appropriate standards.
This is a rewarding, hands on role that will give you the opportunity to positively impact on the lives of our residents. Care Support Workers work within the aged care team to promote the delivery of quality care to residents and their families, demonstrating competence in the provision of resident-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
- Undertakes daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks as per homes cleaning schedules and documents completion of the scheduled tasks as required.
- Provide social and emotional support to all residents ensuring that care provision is holistic and person centred.
What you bring
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
- Experience in cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting
- Experience and optimism to work in Catering and Laundry services will be beneficial
- Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling (desirable)
- Experience in Aged Care (desirable)
