Make a real difference in the lives of people living with disabilities in the role of Support Worker (Community Based).
This role is responsible for providing support to people with disabilities, assisting them to build meaningful relationships and find valued roles in their community.
No two days are the same in this dynamic role! You will be providing tailored support to children and adults to build independence and become a valued member of their local community, specifically:
Accessing Community: assist participants with community outings which may include shopping, attend appointments, church, museums, festivals.
Recreational Support: assist participants to pursue and develop their recreational pursuits which may include joining a local sporting club, kicking the footy at the park or swimming at the local swimming pool.
Building Independent Living Skills: assist participants with daily living and life skills, this may include cooking, managing personal finances, home and garden maintenance, transport training for public transport use

What you will need:
Ability to work autonomously as part of a mobile workforce
Passion for working with people in the community
Reliable car with comprehensive insurance
Valid Working with Children Check
Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
Current First Aid certificate
NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
