The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Disability Support Worker to be a part of our team in Newtown.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Providing support in everyday daily activities around the home
- Providing support with hygiene and personal care
- Assistance, support, and chaperoning activities outside the home environment
- Assisting with medication compliance which may include the dispensation of prescription medication
- Meal assistance which may include meal preparation
Tuesday 7pm-9pm
Thursday 8:30-10:30am
Friday 8:30-10:30am and 7-9pm
Saturday 8:30-10:30am and 7-9pm
About you:
- Experience with disability and aged support
- Posses relevant qualifications in disability or ageing support
- Hold current First aid/CPR
- Manual handling experience
- Knowledge of spinal cord injury
- Experience with bowel and catheter care
- Understanding of mental health
- Domestic assistance
