Job Description: Support Worker

Join our team at Amica CS , where you'll play a crucial role in empowering and supporting individuals to live fulfilling lives. As a Support Worker, you'll be at the forefront of creating meaningful experiences and opportunities for those we serve. Your core responsibilities will include:
Personalized Care and Support: Providing individualized care and support tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each individual. This may include assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and mobility support.
Promoting Independence: Encouraging and facilitating independence by empowering individuals to develop their skills, confidence, and autonomy in various aspects of their lives.
Emotional and Social Support: Offering emotional support, companionship, and fostering social connections to enhance the overall well-being and quality of life of individuals.
Implementing Care Plans: Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement and adapt care plans based on the evolving needs and goals of individuals, ensuring continuity and effectiveness of support.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, observations, and progress towards goals, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Safety and Crisis Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks, and effectively managing crisis situations with empathy, professionalism, and adherence to established protocols.
Continuous Learning and Development: Engaging in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills, knowledge, and understanding of best practices in disability support and care provision.

Education and Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications and experience in disability support, healthcare, social work, or related fields are preferred. A valid driver's license and willingness to undergo relevant background checks may be required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Empathy, patience, and dedication to providing individualized support.
- Previous experience in support work or relevant training is a plus.

All employees working with NDIS providers must undergo relevant background checks, including a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check and NDIS screening Check.
