About the Role
Join our team and play a crucial role in catering to the unique requirements of individuals utilising our Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) services in Cairns and surrounding local suburbs. Your mission is to employ a person-centred approach, helping clients to attain their goals and fulfill their support needs. This Casual position offers flexible working hours tailored to your lifestyle, including options during school hours if needed. Make a difference in your local Community. The ideal candidate will be willing to do all aspects of support along with a willingness to travel within Cairns and to Northern Suburbs, Yorkeys beach & Kewarra Beach.
Key Responsibilities
Assist clients to improve their independence according to their identified needs and goals inclusive of:
In home supports:
Light cleaning and housework
Personal care
Assistance with meal preparation
Skill development
Community Connections supports:
Social support
Shopping assistance
Social linking
Assist clients to improve their independence in according to their identified needs and goals
Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their family
Skills & Experience
An unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence, and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or similar) is required
A current First Aid Certificate
Excellent organisational skills, hygiene practices and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
