Your Opportunity
Located in Brewarrina, you will be part of our program that aims to reduce homelessness and increase housing support services. You will be driven to support to young people, adult men and women, and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including those escaping domestic and family violence.
You will be focused on meeting with clients, managing crisis accommodation needs, working with clients holistically to address key issues contributing to homelessness or risk of homelessness.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Respond to referrals of clients to the service from internal and external support services.
• Induct clients into the service including the property, facilities, financials and regulations.
• Provide ongoing case management sessions with clients and review progression against case plans.
• Assist clients in the process of transition out of the service into independence or other services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including service partners both government and non-government.
• Ensure that all required internal and external client paperwork is completed and copies kept on file.
• Complete a range of other administrative duties for the efficient running of the service.

Requirements for Success:

• You will have a passion for working in community services and relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge and experience working with client issues relating to homelessness including domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health etc.
• Computer literate in a windows environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Current NSW Driver's License.
• Senior First Aid Certificate

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
