The ideal candidate for the Support Worker role will have good listening and communication skills; be reliable and available at short notice for shifts; have an understanding of the differing needs of people with a disability; be confident and adaptable; have patience and a positive attitude; be able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment; be a team player and able to follow direction; be able to accept and take on board feedback; be person-centred; and have either experience in working with people with a disability, qualifications or significant life experience to be successful in the role. The position is casual and involves working directly with the individual to achieve their goals and aspirations. Shifts are flexible and can be either day, evening, night or weekend shifts.
