Survey Manager

• $100-130k base + super

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced and qualified Survey Manager to work on a full-time basis. This position would provide you exposure with working on a diverse range of urban and regional projects. You will be working with developers, state government agencies, local Councils, external consultants and a team of in-house professionals.

Main Duties
Your responsibilities include:

• Undertaking surveys; including cadastral, engineering and control surveys.
• Conducting field inspection and assessments and developing skills through training.
• Assisting with the preparation of proposals, reports and applications.
• Leading the surveying team and work under the guidance of the General Manager.
• Supervising the preparation of plans, maps, charts and drawings to give pictorial representations and managing spatial information systems.
• Advising Architects, Engineering Professionals, environmental and other relevant professionals on the technical requirements of surveying, mapping and spatial information systems.
• Evaluating, compiling and maintaining spatial information using a range of digital and graphical source materials, including aerial photographs, satellite imagery, survey documents, existing maps and records, historical data, reports and statistics.
• Analysing and interpreting data to design maps, graphs, plans, drawings and three-dimensional models using geographic information and related systems.

Requirements
The successful candidate will bring in to the role:

• Relevant qualification(s) in Surveying (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in the similar field.
• General construction induction card.
• An awareness of relevant planning and environmental issues.
• Current driver’s licence.
• You are enthusiastic.
• You are ready to pivot as situations change.
• You are looking for a career position that will allow you to develop further in your career.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You have CAD experience (preferably in AutoCAD and Magnet).
• You build strong working relationships.
• You can work autonomously and/or in a team as required.
