DUTIES
As an Open Pit Mine Survey Technician, you will be responsible for assisting ongoing survey activities in and around the mining operations; the delivery of correct and precise set-out of mine designs, drill patterns, and temporary benchmarks and assisting in monitoring programs for our stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
You will be responsible for assisting ongoing survey activities in and around the mining operations as follows:
- Conduct Surface Survey Control Network checks.
- Perform Drill and Blast surveys and Ore mark-ups.
- Implement Geological/Geotechnical structure surveys and Infrastructure surveys near the mine.
- Ensure Open Pit and Waste Dump are mined to design using crest pegs, toe pegs, ramp pegs, and TBMs.
- Monitor water levels and conduct Exploration/grade control surveys.
- Assist with end-of-month surveys and Accident/incident surveys.
- Utilize drones for photography and Prism monitoring, including installation, maintenance, and reporting.
- Maintain and organize the survey file directory, ensuring cleanliness and logical organization.
ABOUT YOU
- Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class “C” Driver’s Licence (Essential).
- Previous experience in an Open-Pit/Cut mining environment (Desirable).
- Senior First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
- Relevant tertiary or TAFE qualifications (Desirable).
- Remote pilot's licence RePL (Desirable)
