Job Description
Leverage your expertise to drive ALDI’s Australian Climate commitments. In this newly created role, you will be pivotal in the development and implementation of ALDI’s supply chain emissions strategy and targets.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders nationally and globally you will be responsible for developing and driving the implementation of projects and initiatives to support ALDI achieve our emissions targets.
A subject matter expert, you will leverage your knowledge, analytical and communication skills to build and continuously improve business expertise to drive positive environmental change. This is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Minchinbury.
What does the role look like?
- Drive the successful implementation of ALDI's Climate and Nature strategy.
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish baseline data to support the development of ALDI’s Scope 3 (Product Emissions) and Nature and Biodiversity targets
- Analyse and interpret data to recommend and implement actions to support ALDI achieve its targets.
- Enhance supplier partner knowledge of ALDI’s Climate and Nature targets and supporting policies.
- Implement tools to monitor and report on emerging market trends, regulatory, industry, competitor, and media developments in relation to climate, nature and biodiversity.
- Support ALDI’s engagement with customers, NGOs, government, and media in relation to Climate and Nature matters.

Qualifications
What do we need from you?
- Strong knowledge of climate frameworks, standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing climate and/or nature strategy and/or projects within a large organisation.
- Proficiency in establishing and managing systems for monitoring and reporting on strategy implementation and outcomes.
- Confident, clear communicator with highly developed presentation skills, and the ability to engage and build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage data-driven insights to inform and drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic business environment.
- Exhibit a genuine passion for climate, nature, and biodiversity, driving a culture of continuous improvement.
