We are seeking an experienced Sustainability and ESG Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Sustainability and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.

This is a part-time position working three days per week from our Lorna Jane HQ in Eagle Farm.

Reporting to the Head of Production & Buy, the Sustainability and ESG Coordinator will play an integral role in driving our sustainability initiatives, ensuring we meet our environmental objectives, and contributing to our vision of making a positive impact on the planet.

Major areas of responsibility will include:

  • Lead and manage sustainability projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Coordinate endorsement and suppliers, maintaining oversight of ethical sourcing.
  • Assist with supply chain administration and mapping.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on sustainability performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and standards.
  • Assist with the finalization and implementation of Human Rights policies.
  • Manage audit programs and supplier engagement on non-conformances.
  • Assist with maintenance of efficient systems for supplier certifications and audit reports.
  • Report data for Annual Sustainability Reports and Carbon Emissions.
  • Identify and implement sustainable practices across operations.
  • Develop Responsible Purchasing practices.
  • Review social audits and corrective action plans.
  • Act as an expert resource for the production team on labor standards.
  • Monitor performance against sustainability goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage sustainability strategies and policies.
  • Stay informed about emerging sustainability trends and regulations.
  • Implement worker voice and grievance mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote sustainability practices.
  • Engage team members in sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on sustainability issues and practices.

You will have

  • Proven experience in a sustainability role, preferably within apparel.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and environmental regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability or related field is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
