The City is looking for a Sustainability Project Officer to help contribute to the delivery of the Sustainability Strategy, with a primary focus area of environmental improvements, particularly in the energy (buildings) and transport space. This position will conduct research and analysis into sustainability best practice and develop project cases and proposals to justify sustainability improvements.
This role will involve preparing and delivering the Sustainability Implementation Plan, including the collection of knowledge, identification and justification of appropriate actions and undertaking project work to deliver sustainable outcomes across the city.
As the Sustainability Project Officer, you will support the City by:
- Undertaking research, consultation and analysis of a range of issues relevant to the growth and future of the city and organisation and sustainability best practice.
- Developing a sustainability map, including establishing baseline data, undertaking necessary analytics, and providing high quality advice to influence decision making across the organisation.
- Preparing comprehensive reports for management on a range of sustainable development issues and projects including work breakdown, scheduling, budget, quality, risk and communication elements.
This position will engage with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to embed sustainability into existing processes and procedures. This role will also engage with external stakeholders including other government bodies.
