Your Role as a Library Assistant
As a Library Assistant, you will play a key role in providing quality library services to the community. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting lending services, shelving materials, and maintaining resources
- Providing an excellent customer experience
- Engaging with customers using technology and digital collections
- Assisting with library programs, events, and promotions
Your Profile
Are you passionate about public libraries and customer service? We are looking for individuals who possess:
- Currently undertaking or completed study towards a Library & Information qualification or equivalent
- Enthusiasm for community-centred work
- Strong customer service skills and a willingness to engage with the public
- Proficiency in computer applications and emerging technologies
- Working With Children Check
Desirable qualities include previous public library experience and a driver's licence.

- Package: $57,703 - $61,162 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation (Salary paid pro-rated to part time hours worked).
- Hours of work: Full Time & Part Time, Temporary and Permanent opportunities available. Applicants must be available work a range of shifts across a 7 day spread, between the hours of 8:00am -9:00pm to support the operational requirements of the libraries.
