The Role
This is a unique opportunity to apply your systems engineering (SE) experience to the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Life of Type Extension (LOTE) Project, a project of national significance.
As a LOTE APS 6 Systems Engineer, you are responsible to the EL 1 Systems Engineering Manager to assist in managing the LOTE SE Program.
You will have experience and knowledge of systems
engineering (SE) in relation to:
- Requirements definition and management
- Architecture definition
- Trade-studies
- Technical reviews
- Interface definition and management
- Integration
- Verification and Validation
- SE standards and documentation.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team
The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.
