Your new role
Your new role is accountable for applying engineering principles and methods to design, develop, integrate, test, and manage complex systems for defence applications. Your key responsibilities to achieve success include:
- Conducting Systems Engineering activities such as requirements analysis, verification and validation, and configuration management
- Collaborating with stakeholders and other engineers to ensure the system meets the customer needs and expectations
- Applying Systems Engineering standards, processes, and tools to ensure the quality, reliability, and safety of the system
- Performing trade-off analysis, risk assessment, and problem-solving to address system issues and challenges
- Evaluating the performance, cost, schedule, and technical feasibility of the system
- Documenting and communicating the system specifications, architecture, design, and test results
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree qualifications in Engineering - Communications, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics - with a minimum of 2-3 years experience post degree completion
- Skills in the development of requirements, specifications, design and test procedures
- Knowledge of military equipment and systems such as communications, command and control systems.
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
