The Financial Crimes Technology Platform Operations team is part of Group Operations Technology and is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing operation of the Group’s financial crimes technology platform.
In our team, you will be hands on with a broad range of technologies and expected to utilise your technical and business skills in this high-pressure environment. We expect you will be able to draw on your previous industry experience to implement and support our systems to operationally and architecturally sound standards.
Core responsibilities:
Provide expertise during incident response to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Lead post incident reviews and root cause analysis to identify opportunities to make system improvements.
Proactively identify system risks of data failure, data loss, inappropriate disclosure or use of data and then design and implement solutions to mitigate.
Identify and support opportunities to undertake preventative maintenance in production and improve automation to reduce manual tasks.

Have excellent stakeholder management skills and enthusiasm to perform in a complex environment.
Have great troubleshooting skills and interest to learn and support complex enterprise systems.
Have understanding of and experience working with ITIL processes.
Have a passion to automate manual tasks.
Have interest and experience in DevOps and SRE practices is a bonus.
Technical Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:
Application support experience is a must.
Proficient developing in an enterprise language such as Python or Java is a must.
Very good understanding of Linux hosted application installation and operation.
Proficient working with version control systems like GitHub.
Experience automating repetitive tasks using Ansible, Python, shell scripting, etc.
Experience with CI/CD tools e.g. Git, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins, etc.
Experience with AWS, particularly using Cloud Formation and Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
Software development experience in integration and database technology is highly regarded.
