Systems / Network Engineer

Location: Western Suburbs and Sydney CBD locations

Daily Rate: $700 to $800 per day

Role Overview

In the role of Systems / Network Engineer, reporting to the project manager you will support a transformative office relocation project, ensuring seamless execution and cutting-edge technology implementation. In this role, you will be the key connection bridging senior systems/Network Engineering and IT project management, managing the balance between technical intricacies and vendor delivery.

You will play a hands-on role in ensuring the quality of fit outs and installations while effectively managing vendors and tasks. Contributing to a state-of-the-art office space, you will integrate advanced AV setups and meeting room experiences, ensuring a seamless blend of technology and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Support a major office relocation project for a company undergoing a significant transformation.
• Contribute to the systems and network design, relocation of existing assets, and successful implementation.
• Bridge the gap between a senior systems/Network Engineer and an IT Project Manager, effectively interfacing with the business.
• Collaborate closely with the project team, overseeing coordination, particularly with vendors to ensure specifications and designs are met.
• Deliver on critical competencies, demonstrating a background in systems/Network Engineering, some IT project management, and experience in office relocations.
• Work in a fast-paced team culture, contributing to a vibrant and collaborative environment as part of a significant business transformation initiative.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a seasoned IT professional with a robust background in systems/Network Engineering and some project delivery experience. Your previous experience in overseeing office relocations, particularly in med-large organizations, is crucial for this role. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical expertise and effective stakeholder management sets you apart, and you thrive in the dynamic environment of a major transformation initiative.

Your track record should reflect hands-on involvement in WAN redesigns(Cisco ideally), familiarity with SD-WAN implementations, wireless implementations and a history of successfully managing vendors across diverse IT domains.
