The RoleThe role will be split approximately 50% towards proactive and project work, and 50% towards assisting the helpdesk with tickets. The location is hybrid with the office in Bondi Junction (3 days) and WFH (2 days).
The position will require strong skillsets and experience with Microsoft Azure suite, as there is a strong focus on projects related to implementing changes, upgrades and migrations across our cloud infrastructure and within Office 365 and Azure environments, including security upgrades and compliance, Intune rollout, data governance.
Take charge of certain IT projects and lead them through to completion – amongst others these will include Security upgrades via Intune, and migration of Office 365 data and accounts, SharePoint and Purview.
In addition to this, the role will assist the helpdesk in resolving staff technical issues and questions and to provide 2nd and 3rd-level end-user technical support – via the phone and remote access, in addition to handling some overflow for 1st-level support.
Technical skills required- Knowledge and skills to deploy best practice Azure infrastructure services to support our cloud adoption strategies.
- Extensive experience and skills in Office 365, Powershell Script, Azure AD, Azure Services, migration of servers to Azure virtual machines, Azure Security
- Advanced SharePoint management
- Advanced Intune/Endpoint Manager
- Experience implementing changes required from IT Audits – Essential Eight
- Experience designing and implementing Azure solutions including Windows Virtual Machines, networks, etc
- Experience/knowledge in migrating legacy AD sites and separate O365 tenancies into the main tenancy – Cloud migration experience
- Experience and knowledge of Azure networking concepts i.e. VPC, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Virtual Networks
- Strong knowledge of Cloud-best practices and hands-on experience in design, implementation, and support of cloud migrations and Day2 operations.
- Project Management
- Standard Windows Server admin and Win10/11 knowledge - AD, DNS, DHCP, RDP, Group Policy
- Data Governance Frameworks: Bring hands-on experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity and reliability
- Confident, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain concepts to a non-technical audience.
- You look to complete tasks the right way, not necessarily the fastest or easiest way.
- Easy to understand - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
