- Microsoft Certification: MCSE, MCTS in relevant areas or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, quality assurance and customer service principles is essential
- A current valid Driver Licence for NSW is required
- Demonstrated experience in providing technical support in a networked environment e.g.: Windows Desktop OS, Windows Server OS, and Microsoft Application/Products)
- Experience providing support to staff and diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems
- Broad knowledge and experience installing and supporting the Microsoft product suite
- Extensive understanding of Network & Computer Systems structure and operation; Windows Active Directory Design, Implementation, Administration and Maintenance; Windows Workstation Setup, configuration and maintenance; Packaging Applications for Central Deployment to Workstations, and Remote Desktop Management
- Up to date with Technical Advancements in IT and Multimedia and an in depth knowledge and experience of computer hardware & peripherals
- Good troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to deal with challenging customers and conflict situations
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic training skills & instructions material and user guide development skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as operating individually
- Understanding of voice services operation in order to effectively manage the changes and moves of additional phone extensions, handsets, phone and fax lines
- Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES Australia Vision and Mission
- Progress to an accredited qualification in Novell network administration (CNA) or equivalent experience preferred
- Appropriate training will be provided to develop the required technical skills as required
