Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a Project Officer who will support projects across public health programs, with a focus on Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS), including the planning and implementation of new activities and innovative approaches to meeting program indicators.
Successful applicants will have access to a range of benefits, including:
- Competitive annual salary of $94,498 - $99, 418 per annum pro rata

- Ability to salary package up to $15,900 per annum plus a further $2,650 per annum on Meals and Entertainment

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region.
Essential Requirements
This Project Officer role will collaborate with the public health team coordinators, review TIS program KPIs and identify areas for improvement; review and implement new program activities through engagement and collaboration with community workers in Gove, Gapuwiyak, Galiwinku and Milingimbi. The successful candidate will also have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings.
This is a full-time fixed term position until 30 June 2026 and will involve travel to East Arnhem Land via light aircraft. Please refer to the Job Description for full details and requirements.
