We are seeking multiple personnel across the ACT and NSW to provide operational support and management of the Common Operating Picture (COP) Systems and associated software applications in support of the HQJOC Data Fusion Centre. These positions will require a minimum of NV2 security clearance and may support an upgrade to Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV).


The successful applicants will be provided on the job training, specifically focused on increasing your capability and developing your skills in the support and management of the Common Operating Picture and associated systems. This along with the support from SYPAQ’s dedicated Tactical Data Link’s and C4I team will set you up for every success in your new role and beyond.  

COP Database Manager
As the COP Database manager with on the job training and support from SYPAQ’s Tactical Data Network’s team, your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Manage COP and Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems in the JOC Data Fusion Cell (DFC)
  • Skilled in operation and management of COP systems and applications while monitoring communications, track data flow, and overall functioning of the database
  • Set up and manage COP configuration
  • Manage COP Synchronisation Tool (CST) connectivity and required network channels for the distribution of COP Data
  • Undertake ADF COP Track Data Base Management
  • Prepare DFC products for HQJOC COP users

COP Manager
As the COP Manager with on the job training and support from SYPAQ’s Tactical Data Network’s team, your responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Provide technical and operational expertise to maintain the COP and TDL systems in the JOC DFC
  • Represent the ADF JDNO in planning groups as required
  • Responsive to the JOC J3 and JOR Watch Commander JOR COP requirements
  • Responsible for JOR display is presented accurately IAW standing SOP and or required guidance
  • Possess full understanding of all COP guidance, such as OPTASK COP and or COP tasking requirements
  • Encompass the management of theatre level COP Track databases
  • Skilled in operation of COP applications and systems while monitoring communications, track data flow, and overall functioning of the database

Essential Criteria

  • Australian Citizen with a current AGSVA NV2 with the ability to progress to PV clearance
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Common Operating Picture (COP) and Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems
    • May include military battle management or situational awareness C2 tools
  • Ability to work in a geographically distributed team
