This position will be Monday-Friday with work hours of 8:30am-5pm or 8am to 4:30pm, with the role likely to lead to a full time position for the right candidate.
Key Duties Of The Role
- Development of relevant knowledge in relation to supply markets,opportunities and risk.
- Seek out opportunities to lower the total cost of ownership of materials,equipment and services
- Process daily purchase order requirements to meet the business needs
- Ensure the accuracy of all data on purchase orders
- Ensure continuity of supply and that supplier performance is achieved in terms of cost,quality and delivery
- Apply the use of supplier contracts where implemented
- Development of relevant knowledge in relation to supply markets, opportunities and risks
- Development of local supplier selection, negotiation, contracting and termination process
- Development of local sourcing projects utilising cross functional teams with a collaborative approach with suppliers, internal clients and other sourcing colleagues
- Build effective relationships with internal business clients, regional Purchasing Managers and Suppliers to deliver best business outcomes
- Expedite orders from suppliers to ensure back orders are minimal and goods arrive in a timely manner.
- Review outstanding purchase orders on a regular basis with suppliers to ensure that there is proactive management of on time delivery performance.
