About the role:
An exciting internal only opportunity to join the Contracted Delivery team as the TAE Manager!

As the Training and Assessment (TAE) Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team who deliver nationally accredited TAE courses to clients in Australia and Internationally. The courses span a range of delivery modes and structures in alignment with demand. You will also have the opportunity to manage small commercial projects from time to time.
You will lead and manage a complex team including teachers and professional employees to deliver high quality teaching and learning whilst providing ongoing support, coaching, building employee capability and executing performance reviews to enhancing accountability and client satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to support innovation and the efficient use of resources to improve education and employment outcomes for students and clients. In addition, you will oversee the student pipeline, supporting enrolments and admissions to ensure student expectations are met.
This role forms part of the team within the Contracted Delivery area in the Commercial Division. Reporting to the Manager Contracted Delivery, the position will be responsible for liaising with students, employers and relevant industry groups in identifying and providing training solutions to meeting client’s needs.
This opportunity is open for internal employees only and is a long service leave backfill until end of August 2024.
About You:
- Current BHI Employee
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or approved AQF Level 6 or above qualifications
- Highly skilled educational leadership and managerial ability and experience with acknowledged excellence in academic leadership and developing strategic directions
- Project and/or operations management skills including reading and interpreting management reports and understanding what actions to take
- Understanding and experience delivering VET training packages especially compliance and governance
- Strong vocational pedagogy skills as the role provides mentorship to pipeline teachers and may require some direct teaching delivery
- Resource planning and management including budgeting and other finance responsibilities
- Digital literacy in terms of navigating Student/Learning Management Systems (Moodle) to a level where you can support teachers with these tasks
- Encourages new and different approaches and solutions that will deliver long term benefits beyond client expectations, challenges and supports others to deliver outstanding service and to deliver continuous improvement effectively managing risk
- High level ability to solve problems, can anticipate potential problems and pre-empt actions, liaises with stakeholders analysing issues and proposing workable and positive solutions, implementing and reviewing solution effectiveness
