Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Customer Service Manager to join our team, operating out of Melbourne, Victoria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive unparalleled service and support. This is a senior role requiring expertise in logistics, international trade, and Customer Service management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Customer Service team to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
- Develop and implement Customer Service strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Liaise with Shipping Line Procurement teams to optimize shipping solutions and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
- Oversee and manage Customer Service operations related to Europe to Australia and Asia to Australia trade lanes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and issue resolution.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key clients in the Manufacturing, Building Materials, and OEM sectors.
- Monitor and report on service performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance service offerings.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Customer Service role within the freight forwarding or logistics industries.
- Proven track record of managing Customer Service teams and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and international trade regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Highly Desired Skills and Experience:
- Multilingual fluency.
- Experience working with Shipping Line Procurement teams.
- International Trade Experience, with a preference for:
- Europe to Australia Trade Lane
- Asia to Australia Trade Lane
Qualifications:
- Relevant Diploma.
