Job description:
Purpose of the Role:
The Senior Surveyor will report to the Survey Manager and will assist with all survey functions on the Snowy 2.0 project.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary Qualifications or related discipline such as, advanced diploma or higher in surveying and spatial sciences
- White Card
Experience:
- Preferred 5 + years experience in a similar role on major infrastructure projects of similar size and complexity
- Experience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects works
- Experience in surveying software's including but not limited to: AutoDesk, 12D model, Leica Infinity, Mircrosurvey Starnet,
Required Competencies:
- In depth understanding of survey principles
- Ground Settlement Monitoring (automatic & manual systems) including reporting of data
- Good understanding of Australian and International Standards relating to concrete and earthworks
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong teaching and coaching skills
- Ability to lead a team and develop skills
- Ability to collaborate across technical functions, site construction engineers and external stakeholders Sound interpersonal skills

Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Broadly responsible to care for the staff of team and ensure their administrative needs are met.
- Lead on specialised tasks in the survey team guiding and advising on the best way to achieve the projects goals.
- Ensuring the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations;
- Provide survey services to ensure the accurate location and layout of work within the lines, grades and elevations indicated in the design drawings;
- Provide survey activities to meet project work schedules;
- Work in conjunction with the tunnelling and construction teams.
- Ensures Survey deliverables set by the Survey Manager are met in the required timeframes
- Ensures compliance with Survey aspects of the Contract
- Ensures compliance with WA government requirements
- Ensures weekly & monthly reporting.
- Utilise methods and techniques consistent with good surveying practices resulting in an accuracy level that meets or exceeds the accuracy specified in the design
- Data management and conformity
- Preventative maintenance of the systems employee
- Provide survey activities to meet project work schedules.
- Ensure the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations.
- Work in conjunction with the tunnelling and construction teams
