Trusted by thousands of families, we work together to spark curious, creative and confident children through our 40+ high quality Early Childhood Education and Care kindergartens, preschools and childcare centres across Melbourne.
In a redesigned People & Culture Team, you will be part of the Talent Acquisition team, responsible for the provision of end-to-end recruitment with a focus on staffing our Early Learning Centres.
In this role you will :
- Source, engage and screen Educators for our Early Learning Centres and Kindergartens
- Assist the Centre Directors, Relief Coordinator and Area Managers with interviews and other assessments
- Coordinate interviews, document verification and reference checking
- Prepare offers and contracts
- Assist with recruitment for support office and management staff
- Contribute to upgrades to processes and capacity including sourcing, assessing, onboarding and retaining staff
- Be part of the People & Culture Team and be responsible for continuing to develop a positive organisational culture, aligned to our values and which fosters accountability, innovation and continuous improvement

What you will need to succeed
To be successful with Sparkways you will be a passionate team player who enjoys stakeholder engagement and confident handling of recruitment and onboarding matters.
We’re looking for individuals with:
- Experienced in end-to-end recruitment in the Early Childhood Education & Care sector
- Proficiency with applicant tracking and recruitment software - we use Employment Hero
- Familiarity with employment law and Children Services Award. Exposure to the VECTEA would be an advantage
- The ability to develop role-specific interview questions and behavioural interviewing techniques
- Data-driven approach, analytical skills in labour market analysis, recruitment research and measuring the effectiveness of recruitment strategies
- Experience in administration systems and processes that effectively track recruitment activities and can be used to meet reporting requirements
- Relevant qualifications, or equivalent experience is required
- Some flexibility with working hours to ensure availability for candidates
- Ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels of an organisation and with key external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills with a proven ability to positively influence through effective engagement, facilitation and negotiation
- An approach to work that is flexible and able to embrace and respond effectively to change
