Midnight Hotel Autograph Collection & Iconic Hotels by Geocon seeks a friendly, customer-focused, enthusiastic team player with exceptional HR and leadership skills to be the next Talent & Culture Manager.
The Talent and Culture Manager’s role is to provide advice, coaching and counselling in all aspects of HR and related issues. This role reports through to General Manager and Group HR Director and is responsible for the effective administration of the HR function and all related matters, including:
- Talent management - designing talent acquisition plans, identifying, attracting, assessing candidates, recruiting and onboarding, maintaining associates’ records, training and development (face to face/online), retention, and succession planning.
- Organisational development - foster a harmonious, safe, respectful, and productive work environment with a culture of team spirit, flexibility, pride and delivery of our vision and values at its core. Drive organisational performance and manage compensation, benefits, reward, and recognition. Using analytics to inform organisational decision making. Onboarding new associates and organise associates’ records, like contracts, paying particular attention to work rights and visas and provide assistance with the timesheets on the payroll day.
- Employee relations - assuring the relationship between an organisation and Associates are managed through transparent practices and the relevant law.
- Associates Experience - creating a holistic approach around engagement and well-being enables associates to have a voice and be their best.

- Dynamic, vibrant, confident, friendly, and professional personality
- Demonstrate leadership, organisational skills, time management skills and excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building experience
- Superior communication skills with the ability to have positive involvement and interaction with leaders and all associates
- Customer-centric, passionate and consistent, with excellent attention to detail in maintaining brand standards
- Experience with employment legislation, including Fairwork National Employment Standards, Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020, Work Health and Safety, Privacy and Equal Employment Opportunity. Assume responsibility and accountability for the health and safety of associates and the working environment.
- Computer skills, Office 365 suite (essential), previous experience with HRIS (or payroll) software
- Two years of work experience as an HR Business Partner / HR Advisor / similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry (highly desirable)
- Tertiary education in Business, Human Resources, or Hotel Management (desirable) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Optional)
- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.
