Building Maintenance Tradesperson

Location:  Tamworth, NSW

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking person who is passionate about the job at hand, proud of the work they do and proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the quality across a variety of Council's facilities. You will have the ability to refer to various codes and standards to ensure work is completed to Australian Code.

The Building Maintenance Tradesperson role is responsible for:

  • Maintaining and repairing corporate buildings and premises consistent with the Building Code of Australia and other relevant standards; and
  • Providing support for all activities and functions as required by the Team Leader – Trades Services and the Building Services Technical Officer

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

  • Trade Certificate (Certificate of Proficiency) in Carpentry and Joinery or similar demonstrated practical experience
  • Drivers Licence
  • Workcover WHS Induction
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to team culture
  • Good time management
  • Ability to clearly communicate

Salary range: Grade 9 - $1166.20 - $1261.90 per week plus superannuation for a 38 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to undertake a Pre-employment Medical Screening including Alcohol & Other Drugs Testing.
