PRP Group is located in Renmark, SA (Riverland area – approx 3hrs drive from Adelaide). The group provides services in Accounting and Financial Planning, employing 22 locals and two remote employees.
PRP Accounting has a focus on providing a high level of service to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team in Renmark. In this role, the person will interact with various team members of the company, both senior and junior, supporting the team by aiding the accuracy and timeliness of information.
Initially, this position will be ‘in-office’, but flexibility can be part of this role after 6-12 months for the right applicant.
To be successful in your application, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree with an Accounting major, and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Tax Accounting. Additionally, you should have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of Xero/ MYOB experience highly desirable
- High level of experience with Microsoft software
- Excellent time management skills
- Attention to detail, with high aptitude and accuracy
- Demonstrated professionalism, including exercising confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent personal presentation and communication skills.
- Great attitude and willingness to learn
Key responsibilities
- Developing strong relationships with clients, including understanding their business practices and specific tax information’s needs.
- Preparing tax returns for various types of entities (individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies) while offering advice.
- Preparing business activity statements for business entities, ensuring reporting and other tax obligations.
- Preparing interim and annual financial reports.
- Ensuring business clients comply with various government regulations in relation to running the business (i.e. employer obligations – superannuation, workcover, STP, Fair Work wage rates, etc.)
- Maintaining and updating working knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
