Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is one of the most important organisations in our community, raising funds to improve the health services delivered by the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. We are entering an exciting phase in our development and are seeking a dedicated Finance Manager who wants to work in an organisation that delivers positive outcomes for their local community.
As a hands-on professional with demonstrated experience, you will be a key member of the Management Team, with responsibility for the day-to-day financial functions and supporting the development of best practice through related organisational policies and procedures.
Reporting directly to the CEO, your responsibilities include:
- Manage financial operations including payment processing, reconciliation, debtors and creditors, donations, contract, grant payments, receipts and lodgement of tax and other financial obligations
- Manage payroll processes, PAYG, superannuation, salary packaging and team leave records
- Review financial scheduling and processes and recommend changes to improve the smooth operation and overall efficiency of financial operations
- Month end reporting and end of year processes and provision of associated reports for Board, Management Team, staff and other stakeholders
- Manage the external Audit process and provide highly accurate information for external regulatory bodies
- Review, develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Cost recovery of services
- Some evening and weekend work is essential to deliver the duties of this role
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or a relevant related field
- Minimum of 5 years accounting, finance or bookkeeping experience
- Experience with audits, high level reporting and analysis
- Advanced experience and knowledge of Xero, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent data processing and database skills
- Ability to demonstrate GCHF values
- Right to work in Australia
