We are currently looking for a skilled professional to join our client who are a Tier 1 mining organisation on a 3-month contract basis.Key Responsibilities:Collaborating closely with the Tax Manager and other members of the Tax team to assess and fulfill all local tax reporting and compliance duties for both direct and indirect taxes
End-to-end tax effect accounting and forecasting processes during monthly Finance Period End Close processes and annual statutory accounting disclosures. This includes providing tax transparency and economic contribution information
Assisting the Tax Manager in managing relationships with Regional Tax Authorities, handling queries and audits
Providing support in preparing advice on tax outcomes for significant projects, including major capital expenditure investment cases, and reviewing and analysing legal terms/clauses in proposed contracts with external parties to recommend tax language and structuring for optimal outcomes
